Colomba offers a selection of luxurious bedding sold exclusively in California at Santa Barbara Design Center. Made from high quality Linen, natural fibers and precious textures. And here is some FYI about Linen and why it’s so much more than cotton! Linen is a natural fiber extracted from the flax plant. The yarn has a fresh feel, a silky shine and high resistance. Due to its molecular structure, linen can absorb water equivalent to up to 20% of its weight without the body feeling any humidity. This makes linen especially appropriate for fabrics that come into close contact with the skin, especially in warmer climates. Linen is more expensive than cotton, and more difficult to spin, but the above-mentioned properties make it one of the most comfortable and attractive fibers.
Bedding styles range from Classic Zapallar, Atacama, Portillo, Elqui, and Valparaiso inspired by the Chilean Lanscapes where the linens are made. The product line has Romantic Shams, Waves of Pillow Sham, Mar Duvet Covers, Sea Foam Sheet and Bottom Flat Sheet With Tie Corners, and Three Panel Bed Skirts. Color of the collections are: White, Quartz, Natural, Taupe, Stone Grey and Steel, (depending on which style).
