Design your Bedroom
Design your Bedroom like a Santa Barbara Boutique Hotel. There is no finer experience than staying at a luxury 5 star hotel. The good news is that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars to get that experience in your own home. Here, we rounded up three of Santa Barbara’s most luxurious hotels to see just how they do it. These hotels have cornered the market on providing luxurious experience like no other. Their decor and attention to detail and comfort are unparalleled.
LUXURY AT ITS FINEST
Set amid lush hills and overlooking the dazzling ocean, Belmond El Encanto is a haven of privacy with an unparalleled reputation for providing the most luxurious sheets on the planet. Yes sheets. Think escape, serenity and peace. That’s the motto here. With garden views, these serene retreats welcome you to a natural wonderland just outside your door. Furthermore, If you’re lucky enough to spend the night in this pricey resort for a slumber. In addition, You will experience the closest thing an earthbound creature could experience to a cloud. But I have some news for you. You can have them as well. The easiest way to snazz up your bedroom is to outfit your bed with a gorgeous set of sheets. To keep the hotel room look, go for a crisp, white set of sheets that are at least 300 thread count. Furthermore, Hotel rooms tend to use sateen or percale sheets, but you should choose the material that feels most comfortable to you. Here at the Santa Barbara Design Center we carry only the highest-thread-count sheets and plush bed pillows from Colomba Living. We think these beauties should have a life outside of the hotel and inside your home!
THE PERFECT PRIVATE HAVEN
The San Ysidro , is not technically “a ranch.” These days, it’s more like a luxurious health farm. The property is steeped in history, far more ancient than Hollywood’s silver screen. Most celebrities have either stayed here or want to. Also With 41 cottages on 500 acres and each cottage having its own entrance, roaring fireplace, four-poster bed and private back porch (some with hot tubs and pools,) why wouldn’t they! Candles and poetry books mingle with antique furniture, cowboy rugs and delicious-smelling sprigs of rosemary and thyme, tied neatly with a ribbon and left by the sink. Your room has it all – so much – you may find you never want to leave at all! To get the San Ysidro look, use whites and creams for your linens and wall treatments. Focus the design by placing an Antique rug in the center of the room to anchor your four poster bed. Design a selection of custom cream treatments, that measure rod to floor and tie them back with soft ties. Place flowers abound and display an eclectic mix of vintage lamps and pots. If you find a small rug that you love, like sheepskin, you could buy a few and place them around each of the three sides of your bed. Remember that you will usually be standing on this rug with bare feet, so the softer (and the fluffier!), the better.
RELAXED AND REFINED
Surrounded by the splendor of red-tiled roofs, palm trees and brimming with boutiques and cafes, the Kimpton Canary is perfectly situated for the ultimate escape. Spanish colonial Santa Barbara boutique hotel gem located situated one block from State Street. The Kimpton Canary hotel is loved-by-locals! The Finch & Fork restaurant with its creative plantings, impressive wine list, decadent desserts and cocktails is a top choice when you want to stay in town.
The design decor is Mediterranean Inspired. You can achieve this eclectic look by mixing patterns on fabric. Keeping the walls monotone and using Mediterranean accent pieces. The room is balanced by the airy feel of light wood floors and linen-and-silk curtains. When using neutral hues, bring in different materials to give the space more dimension. Like the odd leather stool, and modern pendant lights. Another trick to consider is, rather then placing your rug under the bed, place it beside it or in front. In order to create a separate sitting area featuring a small sofa, settee or two chairs and small table. If you’re lucky enough to have room for a bedside table, set it up in a way that works best for you and helps bring the most luxe into your life. Your bed linens should include a modern mix of colorful patterns, soothing neutrals, and quirky-cool details like a bed scarf to pull together your color palate. Furthermore, Instead of a bench ad a small sofa to create another sitting space.
