17th-Century Antique Polychrome Wooden Buddha
A remarkable 17th-century wooden Buddha seated in a serene meditative pose upon a carved lotus base. Remnants of the original cream, muted red, faded green, and dark brown polychrome remain visible throughout the figure. The timeworn painted surface, craquelure, exposed wood, and naturally aged patina give the statue exceptional character and historical presence.
